The Ross County S.A.L.T. Council, (SENIORS AND LAWENFORCEMENT TOGETHER), have a program called Court Watch where they go to court to support their fellow seniors who have been victims of crime. They show up in the courtroom to help the senior feel supported and also to let the court system know they want justice served. They wear their vests that have the SALT Council logo on them.

lancester court watchThis morning a bus from the Ross County Senior Center headed up to Lancaster to do Court Watch duty again. Since last Wednesday many members of the Ross County SALT Council have been meeting early at the Ross County Senior Citizens Center to meet and drive up to Lancaster Court house for a trial of Financial Exploitation of a Senior. The council members are all seniors themselves showing support to the senior citizen who is a victim. The council members went to Marysville two years ago and spent every day for a week showing support as the local Sweet Heart Swindler, Tonya Weiss was on trial again there for swindling 2 elderly men from her prison cell. Our Ross County Court Watch will go to another county if needed to help support seniors that are victims of crime.

The victim of this case of Financial Exploitation is a 83 year old female whom has Alzheimer's Disease. Nancy Kay Pritchard a 54 year old female living in Lancaster is on trial this week for Theft of the Elderly. Nancy had been the caretaker of the victim since 2001.
