Chief Deputy Donald Hayburn II
As Chief Deputy serving second in command, Chief Deputy Hayburn replaces Sheriff Nichols in his absence. He has served as Chief Deputy of Ross County since 2000.
Chief Hayburn is in charge of the Road, Civil and the Detective Division.
Chief Hayburn has 22 years in law enforcement. He began his career as a Reserve Deputy in 1982. He has served as Dispatcher, Sergeant in the Corrections Division, Road Patrol and as a Detective specializing in Child Abuse cases. He has been promoted through the ranks to Chief Deputy in 2000.
