PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS
Sheriff Lavender is fully aware of the need to get programs in Ross County to
help our seniors. February 1999 the Ross County Sheriff's Office joined a
national program called TRIAD that brings together the National Sheriff's
Association, AARP and the International Association of Police Chiefs. The sole
purpose of the Ross County Sheriff's Office starting TRIAD is to promote
senior safety and to reduce the unwarranted fear of crime that seniors often
experience.
The TRIAD Coordinator establishes all programs to be part of the Ross County
TRIAD. Dep. Weber also works closely with the Deputies, Prosecuting
Attorneys Office and Ohio Attorney Generals Office in assisting all senior
crimes such as Senior Financial Exploitation.
The S.A.L.T. Council(meaning Senior And Law Enforcement Together) was formed
