ABOUT PAL

Sheriff Ronald Nichols of the Ross County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce Chillicothe/Ross County PAL.
PAL is a recreation oriented juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily on athletic and recreational activities to tighten the bond between law enforcement officers and kids of our community.

Lt Smith Captain Dwayne Smith of the Ross County Sheriff's Office heads the program offering structured and personal guidance in a safe and friendly environment. PAL is meant to be a safe haven center and provide enjoyment and activities other than hanging out on the streets. PAL promotes good clean fun, teamwork, responsibility, self respect and problem solving. Parents are encouraged to participate as much as possible.
PAL is a volunteer-driven organization. PAL receives no direct funding and is dependant in large by support of private sectors such as business leaders, individuals, corporation and foundations.
Phil Rutheford, Chaplin for the Ross County Sheriff's Office serves as Director of Education for the P.A.L. Program. Phil is able to not only help the children educationally but serves as councilor to the troubled teens.
