WHAT IS TRIAD
TRIAD was started in 1988 as a Cooperative Agreement between:
-
National Sheriff's Association
-
American Association of Retired (AARP)
-
International Association of Police(IACP)
Triad is a partnership of three organizations - law enforcement, senior citizens, and community groups. The sole purpose of Triad is to promote senior safety and to reduce the unwarranted fear of crime that seniors often experience.
WHAT IS THE S.A.L.T. Council?
S.A.L.T. Meaning Senior And LawEnforcement Together.
The S.A.L.T. Council was formed to run the TRIAD.
They work on ways to reduce crime and the unwanted fears
against the elderly.
