SENIOR PICNIC 2006
The Annual Senior Picnic was a day of fun, knowledge and friendship by senior citizens of Ross County. The event started at 9:00 and lasted till 2:00 p.m. Friday May 26, 2006. The Ross County TRIAD/S.A.L.T. Council had a booth available to talk to the seniors about all our programs available.
It was a day of great FUN! The event was held at the Ross County Fair Grounds. The Arts and Craft Building was used for vendors to get knowledge out to the seniors about different things useful to them, medical tests were run and the Ross County Human Society was there to share some kittens and bring some of the seniors alot of smiles and a great feeling of companionship. We had cartoon portraits being done and antiques being appraised.
Then inside of the multi-purpose building we had cloggers to preform, and some even got up to dance. Sheriff Nichols was there to walk around and talk to people about things they wanted to talk about, after all it was their day. Hot dogs were donated and cooked by LIFE EMS. After lunch BINGO was played with alot of prizes to give away donated by so many local business. Sheriff Heinzelman was there to enjoy the day with everyone also.
