Recycle Cell Phones

If there is one thing we love to do it is to upgrade and get better things-- especially our cell phones -- but what happens to the old phones when you get the new?
Alot of people stuff them in the junk draw or a closet top shelf. Some people actually throw the old cell phone in the trash can. DON'T THROW OR STUFF THAT OLD CELL PHONE!!! When you get a new one give the old one to a good cause...Ross County TRIAD/S.A.L.T. Council.

The council collects no-longer-used models and sends to a company that takes the old parts out and saves all the working parts to make new working phones. So it doesn't matter if the phone is broken or has been run over by the car. There still will be some workign parts that are needed. Then the phones can be used for their 911 calling capability. The refurbished phones are sent back to the council and distributed to seniors and crime victims without phones.

In the Chillicothe area, people can drop off old cell phones and accessories from any provider at several local drop off locations.
