21 Year Old Murder Case Still Open
On the cold snowy night of December 6, 1984 a 27 year old man from Ross County was shot and murdered and 21 years later we still have no reason for this mans death.
Around 8 p.m. that night the Ross County Sheriff's Office received a phone call that a passer by had found a body laying at the Road Side Rest Area on Rt 50 East just one mile East of Londonderry.
The Liberty Township Fire Department had arrived and confirmed that the body found was dead. It was discovered that the body was that of a white male, fully clothed. A large amount of blood was around the victim and it appeared he was dead from a gun shot wound. A 20 gauge shot gun shell was found near the victim. The victims car was parked in front of the rest area, still running. The victims wallet was missing from his person. Foot prints lead from the blood to the highway. The victim identified as 27 year old Kenneth E. Wallace of Ray, Ohio. Beloved son, husband and father...shot and killed for what seems to be no apparent reason.
As of December 6, 2005- Carol and Kenny Wallace, parents to the deceased have went 21 years with out their son and do not know why his life was taken.
