REMINDER TO CURRENT CCW PERMIT HOLDERS EXPIRING IN 2008
This is a reminder to all CCW permit holders issued in the year 2004.
Your CCW permits will expire in 2008.
There is a 120-day window during which you may begin the renewal process.
You can begin the renewal process 90
days prior to and no later than 30 days after the license expires.
If your license expires prior to applying
for a renewal, the CCW license will expire and will no longer be valid.
Should you wish to retain a CCW
license, a new application must be completed and you must meet all of the
initial application requirements.
There were some changes to the Ohio's Concealed Carry Law in March of 2007 and a
new CCW Handbook was
issued by the Ohio Attorney General's Office. As part of the renewal process
you are required to obtain and
read the new CCW Handbook. You can obtain a copy of the new CCW Handbook
at the Sheriff's Office.
To renew your CCW permit you will need to provide the following:
- 1. Original certification of competency
- 2. Application that has already been filled out
- Concealed Carry Applications -down load below-
- 3. 2 X 2 passport photo, dated within 30 days (no exceptions)
- 4. Cashier's check or money order in the amount of $55.00.
for residents living in Ohio less than 5 years a charge of $79.00 applies
When you have all of the above items in order, please call Vicki Hall to schedule an appointment for the
renewal process at 773-1186, Ext. 164.
