The
Community Law Enforcement Academy is designed to educate the citizens of Ross County in the concepts and procedures of law enforcement. The Academy will meet every week on Tuesday for 7 weeks from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
There will be no physical requirements and it is a free course of instruction taught by members of the Ross County Sheriff's Office and the local law enforcement community.
Topics to be covered included:
- Professional Standards/ethics
- Patrol Operations
- Victims Rights
- Major Crime Investigations
- Forensic Studies
- Drug Enforcement
- Counter Terrorism
To be eligible, you MUST:
- Live or work in Ross County
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Not have been convicted of a felony
- File an application with the Sheriff's Office
