911 Phones

The Ross County Sheriff's Office is proud to help get the 911 phones out to the community whom are in need thru the Ross County Junior Deputies Program.
Lt. Detillion and Sgt Dale Gillette started the sale of the phones to help with senior citizens whom need the security of carrying a 911 phone with them. These phones have the capability to call out 911 only. They also have a security alarm to push that lets out a loud siren if needed. Hopefully the person is in distance of being heard.911 phone by magnavox

Research shows security is the No. 1 reason people buy wireless phones, whether it be to summon a tow truck to the scene of a roadside breakdown or call police to a crime scene. According to a 1998 market study conducted by Wireless Monitor, an independent research firm, 56 percent of U.S. households that own wireless phones cited security as their top buying concern. An among senior citizens who bought mobile phones, 79 percent ranked security No. 1-four times more important in the buying decision than all other reasons combined.

Magnavox Mobile911, a first-of-its-kind wireless phone designed exclusively for emergency calling. With this 911 phone emergency phone calls can be placed by one push of a button. This provides a life-line to persons walking or driving alone at night and people with conditions that could require emergency medical response. Another good reason for the 911 phone is that they come in handy if placed by the bed at night and a intruder cuts the phone line. Also Cell phones may not have a signal in all locations. The 911 phone does pick up the nearest 911 location. No conversation is needed.911 button

Another great benefit to the 911 phone is cost. You pay a fee for the purchase of the 911 phone and no monthly fees are added. Versus a cell phone where monthly costs are added.
